S1 only had 3 episodes which I actually liked. Those three episodes were great, though.
Everything else was pretty trash. Couldn't even finish S2.

Loved this show to pieces. Made it a ritual to watch it every week it was airing with a normie couple I know. They never watch anime but they got hooked real fast.
I decided to visit Cowboy Bebop (never seen it before) recently. God damn, this shit is the tits on like.. a whole different level. These jap mother fuckers know how to music a show, i tell you what.
I really liked it a lot. Never managed to watch the final episode though, i guess just cause of how random the whole series had been i didnt feel the need for there to be some contrived ending elucidating all the weirdness in retrospect. Looking forward to watching it again soon desu

Anon, you really should watch the final episode, it's great. After you watched everything else, of course. Except of some episodes of season 2 that are really forgettable.
I'd rather watch a show with only 4 great episodes per season and 3 awful ones like space dandy then a generic seasonal show where all the episodes are unmemorable and bland.

Anime generally has top-tier music, even garbage shonen anime usually have rock-solid soundtracks. Cowboy Bebop just happens to sit at the very top of the mountain in every single respect, which is why it is considered the greatest of all time.
