Yeah. I think Rise from Ashes happened after Turnabout Goodbyes, but before Edgeworth left a note that he chooses death. In the last episode he just left a note.

It gave Edgeworth a more solid reason to "choose death", expanded upon his guilt over how he's been acting as a prosecutor before Turnabout Goodbyes and introduced best girl. Overall, it was a great ride.

The rreason he "chose death" is because he was trying to figure out what it meant to be a prosecutor, which is a problem that gets resolved in 1-5 giving him even less of a reason to "choose death"
