Any sane person who thinks the beginning of an anime sucks will drop that anime before reaching later episodes.
Trusting an insane person on their opinion of an anime's later episodes is not a very smart thing to do.

Luckystar has an infamously boring first episode
Soul Eater's first three episodes are all trash
HxH's doesn't get good until Yorkshin (foight me)
Medaka Box doesn't get good until the Minus arc
Long running manga series in general have weak starts thinking on it.
And I'm not sure when Raildex gets good but it is certainly not at the beginning
