>villian watches as the good guys have a long discussion
Fuck this cliche bullshit.

>good guys

Story is shit, we all know that. I watch it for cute boys
I'd usually hate this trope but in this situation she's clearly toying with him and doesn't give a fuck because she thinks she's already won. Still a bad cliché but I give the implementation a 6/10.
Call me retarded but I kinda thought the guy was Dazai in disguise
>villain and hero have time to shout out a variety of facts, opinions, boasts and unrelated trivia vaguely related to their attacks in the middle of combat
>despite this, their attacks are treated as H-HAYAI! when they actually connect.
She turns into best girl later.

You forgot whenever villain speak, the good guys also just stay on there, commenting about what was wrong with villain's logic.

Hope she gets a happy ending.

It's worse when the villain gets overpowered, and all they can do is sit there babbling B-BAKANA while getting pounded hard until they submit

>main guys clearly like women
>gay
that's not how it works

>More than two male characters who interact with each other on a daily basis
>Not gay

She'll be fine, they were just evacuating the Dick because it's about to suicide dive the town. They didn't kill her anyways and Fitzgerald doesn't strike me as the kind of guy to kill his subordinates for something like what she did. He even went out of his way to ensure that blood guy didn't leave either.

>anime
>they don't talk to each other at all and keep it all to internal dialogue because they have to keep all their breath and attention focused on the fight at hand
>no reason to talk to the other guy, puts them in danger even
>basically just stab the other guy while he frantically tries to fight you off
I prefer the anime version

here's another guide just in case you need it

Is it a cliché or just lazy/shitty pacing?
