It's fucking awful shit that deserves none of the praise given to it. It's an extremely basic melodrama with completely undeveloped characters that gets praised because it deals with the theme of family love without being all redblooded conservative about it. All the characters besides the self insert MC are basically doll who exist to jerk 'feels' out of the viewer, but lack any independent, internal life of their own.
