If your dad gets accused for stealing a candy bar, and have big enough pride to not pledge guilty (candy bar might just have dropped in backpack or whatever), makes a huge scene over a fucking candy bar, so that everyone in the nearby vicinity knows about it, cops gets called because your fucking dad won´t admit a petite crime, and your mother doesn´t believe him, sounds plausible that would cause a divorce.
