I just realized the secret to Komugi's ability. It's more than she just randomly being a genius at Gungi.
It is that she placed a Nen Contract on herself that is literally the greatest condition of all time: I'll Kill Myself If I Lose.
It's genius because it works beautifully for a talent that is intelligence based. Meaning, if you make such a contract as a fighter, then it's pretty pointless because in many cases if you lose the fight you'll die to the victor anyway.
But to put a vow on your life for something as (apparently) insignificant as Gungi, and with her being a natural Nen talent at it, how could she not become a God at it?

We don't know much about Nen beasts, it's possible, I also suppose that being semi independent byproducts of Nen it COULD be possible for a Nen beast to ditch his master which could lead to pretty interesting situations.
Another thing we don't know is whether the beast keeps on living after the death of its master by leeching off somebody else's Nen or something, I think Togashi will make something like this, it's too interesting to pass on it.

York Shin was also an early arc that's meant to introduce and establish the Troupe not kill them all off. Unlike York Shin, all of the major players in this arc have been established. We can expect each Troupe member to fight or die as they aren't surviving this arc.
This arc is the Kurapika/Leorio/Hisoka equivalent of Chimera Ant, which had many fights including some battles for the Troupe. The first fight of this arc was Hisoka vs Chrollo, and we can expect more battles like that later in the arc.
