Great conclusion. This scene in particular was excellent, and regardless of last minute tweests was well executed.
The idea of remembering superhumans through media while the artistic style of the series itself was comic-like was neat, too. Glad I stuck with this after initially dropping it during the first season.

It was probably the best way the show could have ended at this point, but I really think they should have given this final arc more focus instead of jamming it into just two episodes. I kind of feel like a lot of the individual episodes this season only added to the show thematically and not story wise, compared to the first season were they really added to both, even the single guest writer episode.
I did like how they went for the Superhumans just blending into society and helping in the shadows, and not outright disappearing like some people thought would happen. The alien thing at the end was kind of stupid, but I suppose it shows that there's always an enemy for them to fight, even with all the kaiju and youkai gone.
Judas rebuilding Earth-chan, and Prof. Hitoyoshi rebuilding Raito and Megashinn was really nice to see.

Yeah, that was what I wished for too.
A continuous story rather than the episodic stuff, you know, kind of like plenty of toku series have the middle be mostly episodic and loosely jointed and have the last cour be tightly written and packed together.

This season really could have done without any of the guest writer episodes. I really liked Devilo and Devila's as well as Jonathan's episodes, but they really didn't add anything to the plot at all. The olympics one was easily the worst episode of the series though so I wouldn't miss it.
It's one of my favorite episodes of the whole show, but really Ningen-man's episode didn't add anything to the story either. At least Koma was somewhat important for the final arc.
All according to plan.
I stopped trying to follow the story a long time ago. Now I just want it to end so I can get it over with.

Fucking damn son, this really did feel like some 70's era "Superheroes against the Ultiamate bad guys" kind of shit, right down to the evil monster island and control room.
Everyone acknowledging that justice is relative was cool, and this final showdown with Saotomi was great (that last punch was so fucking satisfying, though I'm sad he didn't burst into flames). Wish his backstory was a little more fleshed out, but maybe it was alluded too and I just didn't notice it. Quick, ultimately weak theory I have is that he's from the meteor that wiped out the dinos, he did mention he was effectively immortal. Plus, superhumans were a way to replace fossil fuels and was entirely his idea, so thats gotta mean something, right?
Epilogue with Furouta and Kikko was all I could ask for, though I'm still irked Kikko didn't officially win (or that we didn't get any really good stitches or shots of her massive S2 Kikkos)
OST was fucking flawless as always.

This show was not without its flaws especially with some wonky directing here and there that might of turned some people off pretty early. But this was easilly one of the most unique anime in a long time and it possessed a scale so much bigger than most shows attempt to accomplish. Its understandable why its not getting praised to the high heavens but i definitely will refer to this series as one of the big hidden gems in anime and can only hope it garners a cult following sometime in the future.

If anyone wants to watch something like Concrete Revolutio, Ghost Slayers Ayashi, also by Shou Aikawa x BONES, is pretty much the same kind of thing as Concrete Revolutio but set in the Tenpo era instead of Showa, and all about youkai instead of superhumans.
It's not as good, but it exists.

Secondly, why did Jiro disappear? Wouldn't he just become the uncontrollable beast? But no, he just went all "I am out" even though it was stated a few sec ago he would have no control over his powers without the Fumers.

The writer was clearly aware of social and political issues so I think it goes further than that. It's rare to see anime where people see Japan just as the victim of nuclear bomb. This line is EXACTLY what older Japanese citizen would say, all those Godzilla etc. movies were created to show people the nuclear threat as some kind of monster since it was a taboo to show actual nuclear bombing. So they see it as some kind of "invisible monster" as they referred to in this episode as well.

I knew this would happen not because of the outcome but how we were brought to the conclusion of everything. A simple word would be rushed by that doesn't really encapsulate the issues with how the final act of the story was handled.
Also the Jaguar thing was kind of dumb because if his robots never existed in the first place they could have done something cool like have Raito show up for the final fight.

Since it's not 100% actual history, it could have been a protobomb in nagasaki. Or metor in nagasaki. Just mention nagasaki, since there are two with catastrophe-power sealed inside and one is in hiroshima, the other should be in nagasaki.

Jaguar was incredibly smug this episode.
This is one of those shows that I really will miss, even with all of it's problems. It's just one of those anime that happened to hit all the right points for me, and I doubt we'll ever see anything quite like it ever again.
