So it looks like Itagaki does really intend for Pickle to be legitimate competition for Musashi. Baki's last line makes it seem like Itagaki's thinking critically again about his writing (to some extent). But yeah, I think this fight could be a good turn for the arc. What do you think?

If they were gonna have a second round I think the first one went on for too long. It should have been like they did with Retsu. Anyway, it could be a good fight, but I see no other outcome than Musashi winning, he still has to fight Memetobe and have a rematch with Baki. The only question is whether Pickle will live.

I don't think you can count the first down as a loss, for either side. They were feeling each other out. Musashi beat Baki once as I see it, and that wasn't in a "real fight" anyway.

I love Baki from the botom of my heart but this is clear as a mountain lake's water.
Makes sense thematically for Pickle and Musashi to fight, a historical victor fighting a per-historical unrecognized victor.
