It's so painfully obvious that Homura irreversibly combined herself with the Law of Cycles and by extension has become the other half of said Law. The twist next movie/season is that if they destroy the dark orb, they not only kill Homura, they forever destroy the Law of Cycles. Reconciliation will be Homura joining with Madoka in concepthood. Like the other pairs completed each other, Madoka will give some impassioned speech about Homura completing her metaphorically before they literally complete each other.
