Learn from guides.
In short, you'll do one of all of these (probably all):
- Pick appropriate fonts that look good in the story, for dialogues, narration boxes, thoughts, signs and SFX.
- Clean bubbles and text over art.
- Apply page effects to make black look black, white look white and other small adjustments.
- Redraw the art behind any holes caused by text-over-art or dialogue bleeding out of bubbles.
- Typeset the translation, that is, make the dialogue look like a bubble, not making it too cramped or too spaced, adjusting the text to make it easily readable.
This is editing in general, although you can focus on cleaning or redrawing only, but most good editors will do everything.

Work on it and be patient until you get something good. If you're not sure of how you're doing, find someone to do a quality check for you, or get some other work and compare with.
As for the blog you linked, I don't know how the guy will take having his script being used (I wouldn't mind), but whether you ask before or not to use it, do give proper credits.
When you publish a gallery, do inform who the translator is (because people expect some quality from it).

The subscription is online reading only. I think they main reason is it's just not possible to go back and do 30 volumes of one the biggest magazines out there. Conservatively counting it's around 600 chapters/15,000 pages, so it would require an entire second team working at it for over a year.
