There is this screencap from the early 90s internet with people complaining about how modern anime is too kawaii, with Ranma given as one of the examples.
The problem with answering your question is that I don't know what you mean by moeshit. It does lack any serious story or characters and instead focus on cute girls and comedy, if that's what you mean. But it doesn't feel manifactured to pander to moe loving otaku. So yeah, it depends on what you mean by moeshit.
