I actually agree. I don't get why some retards get mad because it's different from the original series. Isn't that the whole point of a REBUILD? 3.33 looks crazy good, has some of the best character designs in the series, and actually made me like Kaworu.
All of the rebuilds are highly enjoyable stand alone content and anyone that compares them to NGE is a functioning retard.

Blacked swordsman arc is really important for guts character development, it is when he's at his most edgiest. If that arc was not in, the whole deal of him finding a new crew/family and something else to fight for except "muh revenge" becoms meanigless. Guts has matured a lot as a character and it would not have the same impact on the reader if we did not know how he acted when he were the most alone

It is definitely pivotal for guts development but a lot of it just feels too dated and a product of its time (I'd say new berserk definitely feels like a product of its time too and if this goes on for a long time it'll start to feel dated too in 15 years down the line) not to mention having jg out of character moments like guts fucking the demon. The first chapter in particular reads like it was written merely to pitch the idea. Lost children chapter which is a part of the conviction arc handled his black swordsman persona with more nuance and he didn't come across as so nothin personell despite still being edgy. I mean I still think it's a decent arc and made the golden age 10x better with the foreshadowing than just going in cold, but it's definitely one of the weaker arcs as a stand alone.

To shed some light on this, I'm a weeb going for a manga- like, 100% no corners cut, pure manga style thing.
I'm not getting points for originality on this but I am going for the style with everything I got, unlike a lot of other budding artists I knew growing up who are on tumblr or DA with attempts at blending styles together (which I feel is not so much bad as so much as overappreciating what they were talented with).
I can't give away much, but all I can say is that it's a story with a lot of female adventurers with a lot of fighting, slice of life, fantasy, and pissing off society royally.
I am unsure how well it will be recieved, but I assure it's no gimmick or "demographic aimed directive".

And as much as I am not a fan of computer illustrated anime, I've seen some shows that use it better than in the late 2000s. I do miss my gleaming water light effects and shimmering sunsets illuminated by backlights though.

Golden age arc is overrated, great but not the end all be all of Berserk. Conviction was better, and the reason Golden Age probably gets so much attention was because of oldfags who were probably introduced to the anime first and kept spreading that the GA is the best arc meme.
