There's no solution to that, though. I mean anyone can cosplay anyone else but if something like skin color is off-palette of course it's going to draw comments from idiots thinking they're funny. It's a problem with no solution, because the "Canon palette" of a character is a limited and unchanging resource, it inherently locks off some people from cosplaying it naturally no matter what unless the character is a literal changeling.
