I wonder if the popularity of her and GK could influence whether the staff will always force her to sing with limiters on, using only 20% of her power in the Aqours singles, or if they'll give in and let her go all out occasionally. There's probably other things to consider than how good Yoshiko sounds, like the proportion of high to low voices and if everybody else can step up so they don't sound relatively shitty. For example, it would probably be jarring to hear Ruby sing a line then GK Yoshiko right after.

I fail to see a difference here so much as a correlation. There are girl idols, they are cute hot and sexy, they sing songs, people fap to them and buy their shit like slaves.
As for undeniable facts, Aqours first two albums have already sold better than any iDOLM@STER release ever event ticket or no, Muse is in another galaxy since iDOLM@STER has never had a gold certified CD and they have something like 8 with Aqours probably about to go gold with it's first single by the time the anime is underway since you only need to ship 100,000 copies at wholesale not directly sell them at retail under RIAJ rules.
That said iDOLM@STER disc sales are growing pretty noticeably thanks to Bandai's global strategy for it that started in 2015. It's also one scary motherfucker in particular when it comes to the new mobage which has been keeping pace with Fate Grand Order of late and even edging it in May. It's been dominating the Ipad earnings rankings for a while and even started hitting #1 on the Iphone a few times with some limited gachas of late. It's still being bested on the Iphone only by Monster Strike and Puzzles and Dragons which are on a whole other level of earnings compared to everything else despite the limited Gacha being over for a day.
Basically Music Love Live, Anime Love Live, Games iDOLM@STER but either way Bandai wins.

At my local screening, at least a 5th of the seats was still not sold out a day before the Final Live Day 2. However when I entered the cinemas all the seats had been filled by on the day ticket purchasers.
Point is not everyone pre-orders tickets and you should not discount the possibility the auditorium will be filled up even more by on the day purchasers. Consequently, I wouldn't use it as an indicator of how unpopular someone is.

Just by ear. In the case of Yoshiko, if you skip to 58 seconds in Koi ni Naritai Aquarium that's the line she sings in the PV (maa sonna koto wa kinishinai shinaide.) Unrecognizable compared to Strawberry Trapper.
Once the full version of Strawberry Trapper was out there's that "Yohane shoukan" solo bit that gives you a clue when she's singing, then you can deduce the rest. I'm not 100% certain on all the lines but I have a fairly good idea.

As I understand it, the ribbon colors get cycled back to the 1st years after 3rd years graduate. The imoutos get the green ribbon. That's not an Otonokizaka-specific thing but check the movie and you'll see it applies.
Riko is either 1 year older than the imoutos or 2 years younger (when the imoutos have recently graduated already.) That would be a 3 year timeskip; if it were 4 then Riko would be a 3rd year so we can safely disregard the guy who keeps saying that.
I'm leaning towards no timeskip, Riko being in the same or adjacent class as the youngest muses.

I hated Yoshiko at first because chuunis are the hot new anime archetype fad, the tsundere of the '10s fit for these meta times.
