Hey, rewording (or rewriting) is common and a necessity, you can't expect to have a literal translation of a japanese sentence and expect it to have the same meaning in english.
I reword/rewrite quite a lot, while still keeping the same meaning or even coming up with another sentence (when I can) in english that's nothing like the literal translation.

Simple typesetting is easy enough, just time consuming. If you need to clean or redraw it can be quite challenging. And of course there's a world of difference between just throwing in the translation to the bubbles using one font and something like this:

The cleaner removes the japanese text, adjust brightness, contrast, etc. Basically removes the text and makes the page look good. The type setter takes the translated text and puts it in the panels. It depends on what you're cleaning. Most of the time you can just paint the text bubbles over with white. Transparent text bubbles are the worst though and may require redrawing..
