Double Arts was good, yes. But it's problem was that it didn't really give readers an incentive to get the next issue.
Let's look at One Piece, for example. Every chapter, even the ones that answer questions, instantly open up two more loose ends. Is Purin lying? What are Ichiji and Niji like? What happened to Kid? And so on.
Nisekoi does this as well, but negatively. It's the whole otter paradox. You want to look at next week's issue, if only to see how things will get worse. How will they escape to the status quo this time? What cliche plot twist will Komi use? That sort of thing.
Double Arts didn't really have that sort of cliffhanger writing. It was good, but readers didn't want to read the next issue straight away. Hell, the main reason DA is so popular here was that people realized it both existed AND was better than Nisekoi.
