I know /a/ is allergic to any genuinely positive opinion on anime, but I have to point this out. Episode 10 achieved something that very few pieces of media manage to do effectively: it made a brand new character interesting almost entirely through inference.
What I mean is that Kamiyama's ridiculously specific circumstances aren't just key in solving the mystery, they also say a lot about what kind of person he is. Seeing his Nanaki was all he needed in order to be rid of it. This means he wasn't concerned with his pride or his social standing or the way his colleagues set him up to take a fall - the crux of his issue was simply the idea that maybe Nanaki didn't exist. The possibility of being wrong was the root of his anguish, and once that was dispelled, it was over. He just wanted to be right.
It only took them a few minutes to convey this, and they didn't even have to make him say it in plain terms. We know just from having observed his circumstances that he's unconcerned with his fall from grace (which additionally makes him a foil to some of the cast, namely Mikage and Valkana). Say what you will about Mayoiga, but this is a method of characterization that truly does take finesse to pull off. I respect that.
