and when i say met, i lived in a county that merged several different communities and cultures from surrounding counties, so there were many different races there, not just one or two of each. I went to a huge school with 2000 students, with easily 800 of the students being a different race. All of them were civilized and behaved no differently from the white students.

Yhwach doesn't want to kill Orihime, because it would reduce Ichigo's chances at giving a winning. Zangetsu/White is an artifical Hollow, created by Aizen, that was absorbed my Masaki way back and then passed to Ichigo when he was born.
He's a separate entity entirely and in the Ulquiorra fight he took control like he did in the Byakuya fight.
So no it wasn't his Bankai but because all Shinigami powers are based off Hollow vessels, it is indeed heavily tied to his Shinigami powers.

Isshin, on the other hand, was the head of the secondary clan of the Shiba family (means he's the cousin of Kuukaku, Ganju and Kaien). When he deserted the SS (and the head of the secondary clan), the Shiba clan, losing two of the head masters, went into shame, losing all respect of all the Noble Houses of Soul Society.
So that makes Ganju and Kuukaku second uncles of Ichigo
