I haven't watched any HxH series yet. Which should I watch? Should I ignore the animes and read directly the manga?

manga's least censored. 1999 anime is less censored up to a point, then 2011 anime starts being equally uncensored.
all three iterations have things they're better at than the other ones and you'll find plenty of fans and detractors of either anime. basically there is no right answer OP.
