People aren't pissed because the author didn't make her wait over a decade for the one she loved. People are pissed because it just seemed like a senseless detail that would inevitably rub people the wrong way. Why couldn't their future stay ambiguous?

Actually I'm mad because the history was fucking horrible (which I was already not judging the whole 'mangaka that gains unexplained powers to fix stuff that inevitably also fix his shitty life') and he forced the whole feelsy relationship with kayo to then pull that.
