Not trying to target you in particular, but I do believe that readers in general (not just on /snk/) tend to be especially unforgiving or rather intolerant (perhaps unreasonably so) of huge character flaws and mistakes, however understandable they are: in that sense, it doesn't surprise me that Historia, who's pretty much riddled with the former and whom the writer allows to fail and whose character progression is full of obstacles (her father being the last and biggest one), would get a bad rap despite the Uprising arc being her arc as much as (if not more than) it is Eren's.
That's why I disagree with the idea that her falling for her dad's bullshit was a blunder on Isayama's part: she had every reason to WANT to believe in her dad's bullshit, even if deep down, she was probably asking herself the same questions as the readers when Rod started spewing his story full of holes and omissions and contradictions. He was the only family she had left and the very person responsible for her becoming Krista, the martyr-like persona who was born from Historia's need of validation from all those family members who never gave her neither love nor care (her mom, her dad, her grandparents...).
She even says so herself in chapter 67.
