I at first didn't really pay much attention to the OST but after hearing Orca I started opening my ears. Since then I've got the OST and overall it's excellent, and even if you don't feel that every song can stand on its own, there are a few songs with leitmotifs (Particularly Kanagawa themes) that really fit thematically.
I personally think it's highly underrated.
