Continuing from that, the japs just aren't that funny, particularly in anime. They always go for that ultra zany, OTT humor, and they rarely pull it off. Nichibros was especially bad.
The best western humor will always be far superior to anything the japs are capable of. Seinfeld and Curb your Enthusiasm in particular boast levels of humor light years ahead of anime.
