But then they killed any sense of respect I had for IS with all the rehashed designs, terrible girls despite good character designs (Hinoka had so much promise), and m-muh one-universe lore. Yeah it's a GK. I'd like a scale but it seems no one is making Kuro figs so this is pretty much the only option outside of prizefigs.
I actually had a lot of fun making the Illya one since it was my first, but the end result was sorta unstable. The foot pedestal they give you doesn't really work so the model will fall over if a speck of dust lands on it.

A plastic keychain wouldn't be very good for everyday use. Rubber is objectively the best for keychains. Not too noisy, very durable and sits comfortably in your pocket.

It depends on the set. Some set figures look okay just alone or with one or two others from the set, but others look off, especially if other figures depend on one figure to have their pose look correct.
The Saber Lingerie set by Wave is a good example of looks alright no matter who you get. It looks its best with all four figures but you can just buy one, or which ever Saber(s) you prefer.

I have the regular one and got it a few years ago for about $32. I find it a bit of a waste. She's hard to pose, mine got her sword stuck in her sword holding hand (I've tried to get it lose with heat), it seems every time I move her arms even the slightest it pops out.

Yes, they sent a replacement, which is handy so I can practice shading without worry on the broken hull. The tank itself is shit, my schürzen do not line up properly due to manufacturer error so not only do I have gaps, but I also had to apply copious amounts of plastic cement and super glue to get them to stick against the pressure.

Bootlegs are often made of stolen molds legit figures are made of, but these molds are worn out so details aren't sharp. Add to that they do very little clean up or re-sculpting, and shoddy paint/decal application you often aren't even getting what you paid for at the bootleg price.
Sometimes, and very rarely some bootlegs are nice looking, which makes me slightly suspect the discarded parts (due to not meeting QC) of legit figures are stolen to make a small batch.
