Speaking of pragmatism, long hair is a turnoff for me, I never understood why long hair was standard for women because of how impractical it is: Have you ever had to blowdry/straighten long hair? It takes like 30-60 minutes sometimes (ditto for makeup, huge time sink)!
Short hair is efficient, functional, athletic, and shows a woman is comfortable being masculine. It's sad that women are forced into being feminine when being masculine is much more pragmatic.
