I think Lead Bullet is too useful to not keep around on a set, even if you have the ability to score points normally. Being able to ignore Shields is still a huge surprise, especially since it makes your opponents wary of relying solely on their Shields to avoid gunfire. Something like what I list below would be ideal.

Osamu losing a point here doesn't really matter in the long run. Rank Wars are almost over and Tamakoma-2 has enough points to play with the big boy squads again. All that matters at this point is being able to fight the top 3 squads. And since they're probably going to be stuck at rank 4 they're gonna get to choose the map again. Upsets can happen.
Katori and Kakizaki are so far behind at this point that unless they both win 8 point shutouts (unlikely) they probably can't climb higher than rank 4 or 5 by season's end. Them getting 1 point this match is basically a condolence prize.

I believe the term here is 'learning experience'. Chika's trion makes her so ridiculously over powered that I think people tend to forget that she's even more of a rookie than Osamu, with most of her effort focused on learning to be a good sniper. Watching out for a combination of hound shots and direct fire like that is something she wouldn't be looking out for without having seen it, or been hit by it a few times.
So she gets taken out this time, and probably guards against it next time.

Given what we've seen so far I don't think it's any stretch of the imagination to assume her Ibis, Lightning, and Hound are on the same Trigger. However, I still think she doesn't need egret for the rank wars, as she can never use it feasibly as she can't shoot people normally, limiting her to Ibis and Lightning anyways. So perhaps she removed it for some other trigger she hasn't brought out yet, like teleporter. Though that's all speculation it would've helped there in allowing her to escape.
Wonder if Sakurako talks the same way when she's doing her job as operator for her team in a rank war.

Well compare the amount and/or speed Izumi and Ninomiya can make a composite bullet like Gimlet (which is just 2 Asteroids, probably the lowest of the 4 shooting triggers in consumption). Hatohara has a Trion of 8 and she can't even use lead bullet sniping and Chika has been shooting them for a while. And look at the size of that lead bullet cube and the speed she created it (Teruya was on her last sprint to Chika--she was only able to snipe once).

Oi Chika, Shields can surround you entirely. They even have something called Anchor mode that means you can't move, but strengthens the shield. Just sit there and tank everything.

Using Lead Bullet takes both active trigger slots (unless you have a custom Lead Bullet like Miwa). Remember that Chika had to disengage bagworm to use Lead Lightning.
