I just assumed that the "beings" we saw were a mix of humans and quincies. I figure that thousands of years ago, humans were aware of quincies and Yhwach ruled "the world" (whether that means the entire world or just some territory). Then after the war with SS quincies were annihilated and humans memories may have been wiped, or just forgot the quincies.

Before the war, the gotei didn't have a reason to exist.
And yama states several times that the purpose of the gotei is to maintain the balance.
I bet Ywach is the one who sliced up the soul king, and they sealed him up to keep him alive.
Then Yama went on revenge mode and burnt quincy land to the ground, and poisoned the world so that it would generate hollows the natural enemy of quincy
Now, with so many more hollows, they spill out into the living realm and with so many dead quincy, everything was out of balance. So Yama founded the gotei to keep everything flowing well.
In the end, Ichigo's gonna use the soul king's power to remake hueco mundo into a habitable place so it doesn't keep making hollows.

It both explains Chad's powers and how Ichigo was able to obtain Hollow powers from his mother. I mean, c'mon, don't tell me we needed the exact explanation Fullbringers gave to explain Chad's powers. All we knew previously is that they were hinted at being Hollow based. Kubo needed a way to bring Ichigo's powers back, hollow powers in a physical body is the way he chose to create, which lined up nicely as an explanation for Chad.

Ichigo's Hollow powers are tied to his Shinigami powers, closer than with the Vizards. His Quincy powers are also thrown in, uniquely bonded to the Shinigami powers because of the circumstances of his birth. But the Fullbring powers, as they were introduced to be inherited in the Fullbring arc, aren't even possessed by Ichigo anymore. His Fullbring powers were just a weak physical manifestation of Hollow powers, but Ichigo had true, much stronger direct Hollow powers that exist tied to his Shinigami powers.

I got Aizen, Unohana, Komamura, Tousen, Bankai Mayuri, Shinji, Hiyori, Free purple Renji (kek), Kendo Kenpachi, 110 Yoruichi, Isshin, 2066 Hinamori, 2066 Renji and free red Byakuya (surprisingly good). Planning on taking Karin for dat dodge, and either Tessai or Peshe with Kon coins. I'll flip a coin to decide, I need neither - but Tessai has a better trait, but Peshe could be fun if they release Dondochakka and Child Nel or I manage to pull Gamuza Nelliel.

I understand completely, outside coop and that shitty pvp there's nothing to do. Well, right now I'm spamming the current event, as it's yielding both accessories and 3*s - not many 4*s, but fuck it, I managed to ascend a 5* with them and maxed couple of accessories to boot.

The hollow was never fully developed. Isshin put it to sleep almost as soon as it formed inside Masaki and when Ichigo was born his hollow was bound by Isshin and Masaki. Even in his fight Ulquiorra Ichigo's hollow form was still changing. It grew more muscular and gained black claws. We've never seen Ichigo's final hollow form and likely never will now. If the movie is anything to go by, it would've resembled the Vizard training form more closely, perhaps without the tail and lizard feet.
