I can tell you weren't around when it was airing. No one gave a shit about it because the artstyle was ass. There were TONS of complaints about what ufo did with it. I don't know what it is I hate about Rose so much, but just about any time she starts talking I wish she would shut up. All the other girls are fine, even great (Alisha and Edna had some of the best interactions in the whole game), but Rose just makes me want to drop the game at some points. I like Sorey/Mikleo as much as the next fujo but IMO their relationship is a little creepy because Mikleo was intended from birth to be Sorey's spiritual, emotional, and physical support, right down to his true name. Early-game Sorey probably hit the nail on the head that extinguishing hellions is not Mikleo's dream, but it's not like Mikleo would ever deny him because subconsciously his entire reason for existing is to carry out Sorey's will.

That's a bit extreme, don't you think? Mikleo was raised to be Sorey's companion, sure, but that was also due to the fact that they were the only kids in Elysia. It could also be argued that Sorey was raised to be Mikleo's friend because of that. Realistically they were raised together and naturally found companionship in each other.
The fact that their relationship seems "more" than friendship is probably due to Mikleo being a female archetype in a male body. The game itself walked the fine line of "lifelong bros" versus "romantic partners" very well, that one Zaveid/Sorey/Mikleo skit notwithstanding.

Yeah that always felt really creepy to me as I played. You could let the boss smack the Seraphim around as long as at least one was alive, and you can swap them in and out and let them regenerate for more abuse. That probably wasn't the intent of the system but it felt like the Seraphim were punching bags and the player-controlled character was god ordering his minions to die on his behalf. Didn't help that the ally AI was prone to maximum retardation.
