For the most part, though, Demonbane comes off as a basic super mecha with magic abilities rather than technological. It's only at the very end of the first game (Al's route) and the second game that it displays hints of the powerlevel it's famed for.
The VN itself is pretty good. Writing is chuuni as shit, but the atmosphere, art and music work together to create a surprisingly compelling read. It's not the best VN I've ever read, but it's one of the few VN's that genuinely kept me reading non-stop.

When Gilgamesh revs up Ea, it sucks in and grinds up "space-time faults" so hard that when it's released it essentially rips a hole through "the world" - under normal circumstances, Gaia's Reality Marble. In a magus-made Reality Marble, this is even more devastating, causing the Reality Marble to quickly collapse as it's torn apart from within and crushed by Gaia's own Reality Marble from outside.
Obviously this is extremely devastating to things caught in it, BUT to say that Gilgamesh or any Servant has enough power in them to threaten an entire planet (much less a sentient one willing and able to stop you from trying) is ridiculous.
