While sometimes the A.I will do stupid things, especially with their preffered cards (Kaiba will tribute everything for blue eyes, Gogenzaka, will tribute Apoqliphort killer and Skybase for Benkei etc), they can actually do decent work if you adjust their decks a bit.
The game is hated because they took out animations, took out voices for every other character, any character in past tag forces has almost no new voice clips, and half the character scenarios are low effort.
Ishizu who has lines for almost every gravekeeper card is great, I love her voice.
Also, the translation is horrid.
20% workable translation, 40% messy translation, adding swear etc and 40% pure memes/jokes

Your partners will do all sorts of dumb shit to get their aces out. Atem will Tribute a Skilled Dark Magician with 3 Spell Counters to Tribute Summon DM when he could use the effect instead, for instance. They also love to Xyz whenever possible, whether it makes sense or not (such as going for Castel when your opponent has no monsters); at least some partners' decks support it well.
I wouldn't know to call the entire game bad because I don't know any better.

Like, there will be a single card that says 1 scale on the left side and then 8 scale on the right side. If you had duplicate of this card in your opening hand, you could place one on the left to be the 1 scale and place the same card on the right side to be the 8 scale and do a pendulum summon.
They are probably going to make an entire archetype around this where any combination of their cards are proper scales.

That in their 3rd duel is against Yuya and Shay, in the exact same week that Invasion of Venom releases.
