Yugo and Rin were originally supposed to be Crow's first orphans.
Shinji was supposed to be the Yusei replacement for him, Crow, and Jack to be Enforcers, while taking care of Yugo and Rin.
Jack, Shinji, and Crow were going to be arrested and taken to the Facility to be branded; only Crow was given marks while Jack got a duel with Roger to become Duel King. Crow and Shinji would view Jack as a traitor for this, in spite of Jack trying to accomplish his own goal.
When Jack and Crow were to be arrested 11 year-old Yugo would attack a Security officer because he's so hot-blooded, getting him enough attention to make Roger aware Yuri has a look-alike in another dimension.
By finding Yugo, Roger would find Rin.
Roger would then have told Yugo and Rin they could live in the City with Jack, working as special operatives in Security, and if they worked hard enough Crow and Shinji could come to the City too. Being kids, they believed him.
This is why Yugo has such a good D-Wheel and clean clothes and Rin wears jewelry, because they were no longer poor.
Yugo would look up to Jack because, without the truth, he believed Jack went from a Common to a Top, and not only that, Jack was someone who took him in as an orphan.
When Rin was kidnapped, Roger was planned to give Yugo his dimension-hopping technology, not Clear Wing Synchro Dragon. Roger would give it to him under the guise of being benevolent, rather than really wanting to collect Ruris.
The plot of Synchro arc had to be changed to handle the loss of money, and not being able to give certain VAs more speaking roles.

57 is a cloud dragon with a core with the number on it and yes a lot of detail is lost due to low resolution.
85 is a crazy box. If you look closely it has various panels moving around revealing a weird and unknown monster inside, just like how it's effect is unknown.

Terra Firma belongs to Koyo and he took it back at the end of the manga, Both Flame Wingman and Shining Flare Wingman were used in Jaden's duel against Yugi, in fact, it's still in the extra deck when you fight that duel in that game. However, Neos was all over Bonds Beyond Time and Jaden calls it the symbol of his deck.
They were too ambitious with Neos in a bad way. Neos needed an effect. Not even a really good one or anything. Just being able to special it when you controlled a Hero would be huge. The Neos fusions should have just needed attributes instead of specific Neo Spacians and they didn't need that retarded restriction of returning to the extra.
Spacians needed to die. Either disappear completely or become N-Heroes that had like 500 more ATK each and the ability to be special summoned from hand or grave when Neos was on the field.

Atem had proper foreshadowing and buildup so him coming to help didn't look like an asspull and Kaz limited his screentime too so he wasn't the focus. Yugi proved he's a capable duelist on his own and lives a peaceful life with his friends. He also has a dream of becoming a game designer one day too which I thought was really awesome. We never knew what his goals in life were. It's clear he can stand on his own now so Atem helping him at the end isn't really detrimental to his character. I like the new Passionate Duelist remix, it sounds more majestic and light hearted than the original one. I feel it kind of reflects Yugi who is a very soft and honest person but can be very fierce when he has to.
I love the new God's Wrath remix too with the added chorus vocals. I can just imagine the scene with Kaiba summoning Obelisk now and this song is playing.

At this point, Plot A with Yuya is all about bringing back the smiles of Kaito/Heartland/Yuto and getting Edo on his side so that he can get to Fusion Dimension where his dad and Yuzu are.
Plot B with Yuzu is about R/Leo's intentions and the Arc Area Project which Yusho probably knows about. Not to mention that Yuri and likely Yugo are in the Fusion Dimension as well and Yuzu is the last of the free Ruris with Serena/Rin/Ruri in Academia's hands. I have a feeling that the bracelets are dimensional keys that are needed for the dimensions to reunite, but the dimensions were likely separated to keep HITOTSU NI from reforming.

Yes. Despite their records they are still presented as strong duelist. But Kaito already had his reputation from Zexal to carry him so it was just icing on the cake when he bodied them. So i've been trying to build a deck based from a pedulum dark magician deck i downloaded a while ago, attempting to use every major form of summoningand ritual summoning kek. i have made some ABSOLUTELY INSANE plays with this, gotten games where i had a few hundred atk from a one shot.
but the thing is... it relies HEAVILY on RNGesus and most of my biggest plays have depended on Eternal soul. It is rife with dead draws and the like, and a cheeky Dark Hole or Bottomless fucks with a good pendulum summon, and cyclone family cards stunt it hard.

I'm not lying when I say there are many tracks in here that sound great to listen to. It's not that OST where there's like 1 or 2 good tracks. All the remixes are amazing and many of the new tracks for the movie are great too. Truly a god-tier OST. No. Argent Chaos Force is searchable by Marshalling Field, and Raid Raptors can search quick-play RUMs (via Tribute Lanius), which includes Quick Chaos. Ultimate Mace can search any RUM but a) it's an equip spell, b) it's situation a (the equipped Raptor must be attacked by a monster with higher ATK than it's own, which means no one will take the bait if they know about it).
And you DON'T actually want to search The Seventh One (maybe topdeck, yes, but not search).
They would need to print Card of Ascension, which can search any RUM at the laughably low cost of pitching a monster from your hand.

I disagree. While I agree it was better at providing venues for them to interact, I think synchro was better at focusing their thinking to resolving issues at hand in a way that made it feel like they were growing as characters. Like the eps where Yuya sulked in his room alone trying to think of things to do. Or the dinner event with Jack.
It was honestly a struggle to get through a few of the eps leading up to the maiami championship matches because it felt like I was just being strung along by formalities I didn't care for. With Synchro's slow eps, I felt like while it wasn't the most exciting content, there was a genuine tension underlying the content present and often the minute details did pay off in some way.
For instance, the initial proclamation of the tops having shitloads of wasted wealth? Suddenly half the lancers are forced into labor in the underground recycling facility and unable to assist when academia strikes, leaving Yuya in a corner vs Barrett/Sergey. Standard lacked this sort of payoff a bit of the time. Sure, Michie's eps made his death a little tragic, but he was effectively a filler character and didn't really leave any impact whether he died or not.
Knowing how big LDS was didn't matter because LDS was just a bunch of worthless jobbers. Masumi, Yaiba, and Hokuto basically existed only to give Yuzu/Gon a reason to stop being completely worthless and then to lose to Kurosaki.
Synchro was good when it focused on Yuya's character development.
Most of the episodes after the Jobelisk invasion are quite good. Selena vs Yugo is utter trash though.
The main problem was the EVERYTHING from the touchdown until the second half of the tournament.

And even then, the stuff before King's Gambit wasn't generally terrible. The prison stuff and watching the lancers work together to escape was a pretty good time. Jack's introduction and his quick assessment of Yuya was fucking great. Yuya's rage filled argument with Reiji over Reira's inclusion was good. The Yuzu/Enjoy and Sawa/Yugo duels were pretty fun.
The only really weak parts were Crow/Gon, Shinji/Tsukikage, and the slowness of the eps before everyone got sent to prison. And Crow/Gon was honestly kinda a necessary evil to establish Crow to an audience who might not be familiar with him from 5Ds, just like Kaito/Gon&Sawatari.
