I put both of them on the same level but the performances in Love Live are kind of bland. I can still remember how excited I was during Tokimeki Escalate. I felt like doing some cheering and mimicing the poses like I was part of the crowd. I never felt like that during any song of Love Live.

idolm@ster 2 actually played like a game that didn't want to shill me to win and had great in-game interactions/diologue between the girls so I like it more. None of the mobage have been endearing to me and the anime were pretty forgettable.
Excited for Platinum Stars at least.
In terms of music though everything Asami Imai did for im@s is god tier, like nothing from LL or even the rest of im@s even comes close.
