KnK was so misunderstood. People like to jump to conclusions and think "uh, she has a sword, and they fight monsters, so this must be about the action", but the show is actually about the falling in love of kindered souls. People think the writing is bad because they were a lot of things missing for it to be an action show, but they didn't include those because it's not an action show, it's a romance with an action setting. The main focus of the story (although not obvious), is Mirai and Aki's bond, which is very well written. No, his glasses fetish isn't all there is to it.
Also it has perfect visuals.
