The youkai in Saporo and this devilsomethings are far beyond the superhuman affairs so basically the last two episode
meaningless. However, I hope this episodes are trigger some character development.

Yeah this. I really liked the first episodes of s1 and even the rest to some degree but there is really no point going full weekly monster or super human, whatever, after half of the story already aired now.
Not to mention that it's always more or less the same topic and the characters always discuss the same topic (if super humans are acceptable or not and what society should do about them) again and again. I wonder if there will actually be a main plot anymore.

It would make sense if they only added some flashback/flashforward at end or beginning of the episode.
Like some sort of "You are no God Master Ultima!" screaming Jirou or Fuurouta talking with some "space ghosts/gods". Because immortal family had these connections about past/future it was good.
These stand alone eps? Nope. Maybe the devila ep was kinda better at the "gods above mortal realm" thingy but Devilo 10min monologue in the middle of the episode was kinda boring. I got what he wanted to say and what his power does after 3-5mins, you could seriously use more time for Bureau/Jirou arguing/fighting with Ninjas and their Stasi ambitions.

The bureau is more and more wrong with each new episode and Japan goverment is more evil. Some superhumans are beyond being controlable Jiro is right.
Same as every week lately. Liked it more when the lines between sides were more difuss, now Jiro is right and everyone else is a wrong

The first cour seemed like they had planned to do something bigger with this series. Maybe they gave up when it sold like shit but they still had to do the second cour so they just made this.

Yeah it seems like s1 was much more gray. S2 episodes 1 and 2 were really good but the stand alone, guest writer episodes killed all the hype.
