ITT: tropes you actually like
>first day of school
>path to the school is lined with cherry blossoms
So are all these trope threads made by the same person or what?

there's only 3 posters on /a/. me, you, and that other guy.

I really like whena boy falls in love with a girl and when unable to confess he is gifted by a deus ex . . .

LOVE
The inevitable new year temple episode where best girl wears a kimono, and the camera pans from her fit to her face, showing how pure and beautiful she looks, and they go play that game of catching goldfish with a paper net, and the main characters make a wish for a better future, love may flourish with a romance interest, or they have sex behind a bush while there's fireworks in the sky.
I'm a sucker for that trope. I always love it.
>>140970941
I don't really think this is a trope. Japanese schools start in April.

fit=feet

How is that a trope? Doesn't classes start on spring?

>Blonde haired foreigner asks for directions in not-Japanese
>MC is too stupid to know girls want to fuck him (but isn't beta)
>Reverse trap
>Gruff badass character who has a little girl follow him around for no reason
>MC has amnesia, half way through find out he was the villain all along
>>140974427
Oh, I forgot my favorite of all!!
>Mistaken deliquent
>>140970941
Japanese school starts around the same time as cherry blossom bloom
>>140974267
That's not pure at all.

FINDS A WAY
Someone on /a/ told me that the Japanese government requires schools to plant cherry blossom trees around the school
Is this true?
>the tough, stern badass has a soft spot for kids
>Mecha anime
>Mech is controlled by two handles/joysticks/one-handed controls
>When things get serious the pilot pushes both forward to do something stronger
>>140970941
I like the gentle giant and noble demon tropes.
>>140974427
>MC is too stupid to know girls want to fuck him (but isn't beta)
Nani?
A young girl in a school uniform, walking through a flurry of cherry blossoms wearing a somber expression.

Like pic related
>Chick turns lights off, lights candles, dresses up
>MC does this
I find it fucking funny
>Opening plays during the final battle

gets me everytime

Cherry blossoms don't bloom much more than a week and it's not the same time every year, so yeah it's a trope. Like all tropes it's based on reality, but cherry blossoms being around is pretty lucky.
>>140975790
This.
>>140977865
that sure is cool.
>first day of work
>path to the work is lined with cherry blossoms
God bless anime/manga about adults.
>>140974267
It's a yukata retard.
>>140973298
No, it's mostly just /v/ermin. Things usually die down once the weekend is over, thankfully.
>The silent, "cool" one wants to be cute
Asshole yet not edgy protagonists. Can be both idiotic or smart.
They're always good for a laugh.
>>140973420
Which one am I, though? Am I you? Am I him? Or am I that other guy?
Trick question. All of /a/ is just one mad asshole arguing with himself.
>>140974476
Delinquents that are secretly pure girls are TOP GAP MOE.
>MC isn't the idiot in the party and is the one that often explains the world to others
>comic relief character is a badass off screen and is not explained
>The villain's actions are justified and not through a simple, "ends justify means" but rather his or her success is better for the world than the MC's
>>140979631
We're you.

They typically don't have those festival stalls with goldfish catching and fireworks on new years temple visits, since it's in the middle of winter and all. Those stuff happens on festivals that are held around summer.
When one of the MCs is shown to be able to play a musical instrument and it never comes up again. Not really a trope, but it's a nice little hint at their personality.
