Devilman Lady has Satan's epic ruse to take back the control of Earth, bring Akira back to life and allow humanity to evolve to next stage to be free from God's grasp. It's Satan as the Gnostic version: a serpent of light that provides wisdom.
These are Satan's two human incarnations, Jun and Ran, rather than Ryo. Ran is the male side, even though turned herself into a woman, Jun is the female side and Devilman Lady, becomes Akira's true love, etc. They merge back into Satan in the end after Akira is born again. Akira, who finally understands Ryo always loved him and his own feelings, joins forces with Satan vs Michael.
Michael is almost identical to Satan but is all buff and masculine instead of a hot waifu with (sometimes) a dick.

He also liked Miki, but yeah if you read the backstory one shot in the anthology that Nagai wrote, Akira's reaction to meet Ryo for the first time was I WANT TO PROTECT HIS SMILE but due to the reality-warping that inserted Ryo as his friend he suppressed this for OH OF COURSE IS MY CHILDHOOOD FRIEND RYO how could I forget? Akira is always protective of any reincarnation of Satan, he falls for Jun immediately and feels like he can move and leave Hell with all his power to protect her. They are drawn together.
I think they are more of a OT3, depending the series leans on a side to another. Normally Miki isn't paired with Akira, but with Amon, though. Note she only took an interest in Akira after he merged with Amon, meanwhile Satan loved Akira, the human, and sacrificed Amon to save him. In the tv show and Devilman G, where there's no Ryo character, Akira dies, and is Amon who is wearing his flesh, so Miki is his lover (and doesn't care Akira died). Satan and Akira are kind of more of a OTP. Miki offers nothing to Akira, while she humanizes Amon, while in case of Akira and Satan they both changed each other.

It was all there in the original, there's a cover about how their fight was of love and hate. That was why it was so intense. Their scene in the last pages, together under the moonlight, on that beach is pretty romantic and 2deep. If they had had this conversation before they autistically wasted the world together, God wouldn't have won. God took advantage of Satan's weakness and exploited it. Some spinoffs (not part of the many nagai series) but also speculate that Zenon wanted Akira's death out jealousy (some of his three incarnations split that appear in Devilman Lady are in love with Satan, so it's possible not that far off). He was the one who was butthurt and brought up Akira should die and dissed her feelings in original Devilman too.

Amon isn't by Nagai, it's a spinoff AU. It has a lot of differences with the backstory Nagai wrote (Michael NEVER defeated Lucifer in Nagai's story, it was the opposite he got his ass kicked out Earth by Lucifer - twice). Nagai always portrays Syrenne and Amon as two of Lucifer's close friends, not really enemies. So Satan's love for Akira must be too deep to let Amon die for him.
