I just use some mandarin site where you can write out the characters / search for words with desired radicals

Honestly there is no good way to find kanji that can't be highlighted and copypasted into google. Personally I use pic related to find the easiest kanji of a word, and then look up compounds involving that kanji. It's quicker than radical searching or fucking stroke count (which I have to resort to from time to time) but it's still pretty slow.
