Each episode was in it's own universe as explained in the last two episodes and basically hinted at in the warp episode.

They blew a ton of budget of on one of the last few episodes. I'd at least watch that one.

Some of the episodes experimented with random ideas with different directors in Season 2. Some episodes like the limbo one (S2 E8) or the fish people one had some pretty crazy scenes that were fun to watch. Episodes overall were still pretty hit-or-miss but season 2 felt a lot stronger then season 1. If you really didn't like season 1 though I wouldn't bother.
