God Tier animation aside ROLW is a clusterfuck of plot events that really have no coherence or flow. About the only noteworthy plot/character development is 'MC gets better at sword.'

It has satirical elements, to be sure, but the world is fleshed out and the main characters are all fairly complex - yes even(especially?) Gourry and Amelia
