I like how diverse the episodes were so far. I expected the same as last week just in a different country and wirh a different spy. But we didn't even see the episode from the PoV of the spy, the overall atmosphere was different and the spy's modus operandi was completely unlike he last time. I love this series.

So much happens every episode, and it somehow never feels rushed. And it's interesting to see the spies make use of interpersonal dynamics to fulfill their objectives.

Avoiding sameface is actually a bit more difficult than a lot of people realize. Unless you're willing to completely exaggerate and make characters look more ridiculous, but that can damage any attempts at a serious atmosphere.
Differences in faces are subtle, even in 3DPD and animating those subtle differences while managing to stay on-model in a seven day timeframe is nearly impossible, I think.
Unnatural haircolors, weird clothes, and impossible hairstyles can be seen as a practical solution to this.

For a 12 episodes series, they're going a great job. Shame that they didn't get 24 episodes because it could've been certainly better.
This episode's twist is kinda unexpected though, I don't know why r/animefags are complaining about it. Although I pretty much guessed halfway through that it was the MP Captain that was the spy since they didn't show anyone else after the bombing besides the journalist reporter who's supposed to be the spy for D-Agency.
Looking forward to next episode because it could potentially setup a fictional narrative of how Japanese spies contributed to the starting of WW2 besides the bombing of Pearl Harbor.
