I felt that the motivations for the main villain was pretty weak. The fact that heJust waited 15 years and became totally obsessed with Satoru, to the point where he abandonned all his other killing/abduction tendenciesdidn't sit right with me. He was built up as pretty darn menacing in episode 10 and the implication that out of respect he'd leave Satoru's home alone but just fuck off to some other random town and do the same shit was pretty great for a bad end. I don't mind him getting his punishment but he didn't really accomplish enough considering how competent he is made to appear in episodes 1-10.
I also would have liked if someone else was aware of Satoru's revival powers and/or had supernatural powers of their own. I know it's cliche but it just felt like a huge wasted opportunity.That said, cold opening all the way up to the changed OP in episode 11 was fan-fucking-tastic. I think maybe it just over hyped me for everything that came afterward

You do realize that they explained why this would happen two fucking episodes ago and the scene is meant to make you unease because the people are turning gay for each other because of genetical modification and brainwashing instead of any actual romantic interest or affection.
