I knew it wasn't going to happen, but I truly wished at that moment that the rest of the show would just be about Mai raising Haruhiko as a single mother, completely abandoning the previous premise. Basically it would be an analogy to how your entire life gets sidetracked when you have a kid, especially young.
Enjoying that high school life? tough shit, you're a parent now. You don't get to hang out with your friends anymore, time to get a job, etc. All your plans and expectations up until that point are meaningless.

I know a lot of the public school systems in America have an April break, maybe it's that.
I didn't really watch it for the story line because it was pretty bland, It was just nice overall and had some funny moments with cute girls and glorious Kyoani animation.
