It was one of the first manga I read, and I remember being angry at the ending, because at the time I didn't know how the manga industry worked and how satisfying endings are a concept completely alien to Japaese authors.

In a way, it helped me accept that 90% of japanese works will end in a non-threatening non-ending to avoid displeasing any fans, thus allowing me to get less angry when it inevitably happened again and again.
Shame because I liked the concept.
