Given that the AIM field is an artificial phenomenon (and exterior to the esper - that could be important) Dresden's presence would very likely cause it to tend toward a state of maximum entropy. For the more powerful Espers (level 3+ ?) this might start to look like what happens in BattleTech when your 'Mech reaches a high level of entropy.
