Kodaka goes out with Yukimura for a year then they break up because they understand that the club is more important to him. Yozora confesses and gets rejected hard. Rika gets over her crush on him and he gets over his crush on her. He decides to go to college to be a teacher. Sena, because she has nothing better to do, declares she's going to go to the same college as him.
Yozora and Sena become BFFs and Yozora becomes Senas butler (she takes over Stellas jobs, which is butler but also the person in charge of the household and it's finances.)
Overall it's a fairly decent ending. I have no idea why people dislike it aside from buttmad Yukimurafags.

Yes it's usually a cop out ending that makes no sense but in this case all the girls and feelings were actually addressed.
He doesn't like Yozora, he thinks Sena is hot but doesn't want to date her, he got over his attraction towards Rika and he actually went out with Yukimura.
Considering the main theme of the series was "Friendship and highschool" I don't see a problem with it. The harem stuff was always a secondary focus.

Me I felt like it was a waste of time for a show and novel that was based upon love and friendship. I think my biggest dissappointment was that I wasn't satisfied with the overall choices Yomi decided to make for the last novel. The creativity, plot/story felt rushed.When the second season of the anime first aired, the last episode is when I gave a shit about shipping. To waste time reading all the LN's just to get "that" ending was a real disappointment. Overall I think Yomi could've have done a much better job with the overall outcome to the story.

Yukimura's determination (and her later entering a relationship with Kodaka) doesn't make sense. It felt like she had to have some kind of a route because Hirasaka had to.
The only routes that made sense were Sena (family background), Yozora (childhood background) and Rika (most decent development of friendship in the series).

I don't know enough about her to say that i'am head over heels for her, but she is a good onee-san. Kodaka is a good onii-chan too so he can appreciate that to a certain extent. Even though i am not very religious and we aren't told of Kodaka's views either so i am not sure how we would go about dating a nun to begin with.
The only other girl i remember is some chick that suffers from an inferiority complex to Sena, which isn't much of a personality trait.
Don't get me wrong, the characters in hagani are likable even funny, but they're all flawed in such a way as to not make it immediately obvious who is ''best girl'' Which is positive trait to have in a harem i suppose?

People usually don't mind the "dream Y x Z" pairing not happening if it is for the sake of realism, that is to say, if the dream pairing gets "sacrificed" to make the story end in a way that would make sense if it happened IRL (in as far this is possible for an anime).
This show does neither one or the other, we don't get any dream pairing, nor do we get any sense of "realism".

Eeh, the ending stinks not because of the ending in and of itself, but because of everything before the ending. None of the interactions between characters feel satisfying. Every time anything interesting/gratifying could happen something gets in the way to stop it.
In fact the entire show felt like the very first interaction of MC with Yozo being played out ad nauseum. I refer to when he moves away without getting the chance to say goodbye, and she is left behind not knowing where he went. Neither getting any closure. The entire show just keeps shlogging forward on that bitter tone. You sort of expect things to end in an improved way, but it really doesn't. Just a disgusting pile of regrets, and what if's. Show ends the same way it starts, neither of them really having had proper closure with each other.
Sena also felt too much like a plot device, can't have a love triangle with just 2 people, boy oh boy, what a surprise, this girl was ALSO a childhood friend, and an arranged marry to! How convenient...
I guess my main complaint is that the author couldn't write himself out of a wet paper bag.
