the thing is, if they try to go further, there's a lot of wrapup to do. once they introduce the dad, there's the flashback when keicho talks about how the dad was implanted with a flesh bud and then got taken over when DIO died, there's the part where Josuke repairs the picture, which will have to have a few minutes of emotional monologuing from keicho and okuyasu, then they go straight from that to RHCP taking the bow and killing keicho
there's not really an appropriate time in that chunk for them to end the episode and push the resolution into the following ep (like they did with angelo for some reason), so introducing the dad and resolving that would be like 8-10 minutes worth of content. i don't think they'll be able to compress bad company enough to make that practical

Personally I found the danger of Kira to be much more terrifying than that of the Pillarmen, it's because of how normal Kira is. You hear stories every now and then about serial killers running loose, but Kira would be just like that, a member of society who commits these atrocities and because of his stand, it's almost impossible for him to be caught. It's not as in-your-face as the danger of other villains but if Kira wanted to kill someone, he'd be able to quite easily and just move on with his life. That sounds fucking terrifying to me.

Nope. The whole fight is 10 chapters long and we're 3 in. The most chapters they've ever done in an episode was 5, and that was in DIO's World which was super rushed. So Nijimura Brothers is gonna be 3 episodes. I don't know why people thought we'd get it in 2, it's tied with Crazy D Is Unbreakable for second longest arc in DiU.

Reread the last chapter of Crazy Diamond Is Unbreakable. He tells the nurse that in the past 15 years he's killed 48 women. That's a bit more often than every 4-5 years. That's actually incredibly high for a serial killer, even in that amount of time. For reference, the serial killer with the highest kill count is some Brazilian or Argentinian guy who's killed, tortured and raped over 300 prepubescent girls. At his peak, he was killing a girl or two a week.

No, it's a meme. The translations are garbage but they're being redone. Unsurprisingly Part 5 is lived in all the languages it has official translations in. The current English one butchers characterisation and outright makes shit up. It's better than 1 and 3 imo, but just because it's one of the weaker parts doesn't make it shit. I just felt like Pucci was such a big main focus of part 6 that I ended up liking him as a character, and not as a villain.
I know this makes no sense, but like, it felt like Pucci was perfect material for main character, but ended up being the big baddie, which didn't make a lot of sense to me. I felt that, if when Weather Report got his memories, WR should have become the main villain, a Pucci revealed that his whole plan was to not let Report remember shit so he didn't turn evil or whatever the fuck.
I just wished Pucci wasn't the bad guy, that's all. Kars was a pretty shitty villain but the final fight was one of my favorites and Kars was friends with Whamu and Whamu is fucking great so I can't complain.

Your reasoning makes little sense anon, Pucci was a fantastic villain with great central focus, but he STILL was a villain. It makes perfect sense, he followed the instructions of Dio until the end and actually partially accomplished them.
I don't think association should count for a reason to like Kars, Kars was as weak as Esidisi in terms of character, if Wamuu were the main villain of part 2 it'd have been much better.

So, I just finished Stone Ocean.
What the fuck did I just read?I fully get why people sort of dislike part 6, it started out pretty strong and I grew to like most of the characters fast, but that ending just seemed too deep and took away from the whole experience. Nearly everyone dies, Jotaro shows up to get his face cleaved in half by a black priest zipping around on a gay looking unicorn, the world ends and then it doesn't.

What you're talking about is referred to as a serial killers 'berserker mode'. Not even being chuuni, its what its actually called. When serial killers first start out everything is carefully planned and great caution is used but as they kill more and more people they become comfortable in their skills. They also tend to go through a period of finding themselves, figuring out which method they most prefer and they develop their modus operandi during this phase. Unless they're stopped sooner, most fall into the berserker mode which is usually the end of their career because they start killing without rhyme or reason, they just can't get enough of the feeling so they tend to get sloppy here which usually results in them being caught. My guess is that Kira was probably just starting his berserker mode at the start of DiU, the fact he was so confident and even bold enough to take a severed hand with him out in public reinforces that belief.
Ted Bundy went through a berserker phase after his first arrest and subsequent escape. He went through a series of fraternity houses in Florida and slaughtered as many women as he could. He actually probably would have escaped too but as with most serial killers at this point in their careers, he got a little too sloppy. Tbhfam serial killers are super interesting and I very much suggest learning more about them, its quite interesting to see who they were before they started killing and what they became afterwards. Interesting fact, most serial killers share a few common traits one of which is a brain injury during childhood. tl;dr Next chapter's the decider on whether we see one of part 8's biggest mysteries solved, and the way it's built up, the flashback man could turn out to be the part 8 villain.
