Like who could even die honestly? Like everyone likes all of the class (minus Sugar) but killing Sero or Ojiro or whatever won't really hit that hard, no way any of the girls die (especially Ochako as the female lead), and that leaves basically Iida, Bakugou, Kirishima, and Todoroki.
I guess Todoroki dying would be a good 3rd act opener but I'm doubting that.

It's because he's really, really good. He doesn't just have an extremely powerful quirk, but is also talented at seemingly everything.
But that's not all.
He also tries harder than anyone else does to be the number one. He's got an insane work ethic. That's what they respect him for.
When he spazzes out they do mock him for it, it's just that he's calmed down a little bit since the beginning of the year and started to reflect on some things.

You know what has been bothering me? Before the forst training camp Deku had a confrontation with Shigaraki and at the end he asked him about AfO's plans which Shigaraki just shrugged off saying he doesn't know or care. Shouldn't have Shigaraki be more surprised that Deku even knew about AfO? Since both OfA and AfO are kept secret and only a select few know about them. Like, knowing about AfO should have immediately put Deku on the "potential OfA successor" list, getting special attention from the VA. Instead no one on the VA side seems to even care about the possibility, even though they likely know that there were already 7 OfA users before All Might and with their suspicion on his weakening, there would be a new successor soon.
