Holy fuck, I miss watching Toradora with /a/.
It is easily my favorite romance.
Is this the suicide pact thread?

I felt the same.

7 years is a long ass time, to be quite sincere. You could become a doctor in 7 years
>Toradora
>old as shit
Nigga what. Try pre 90s EDs.
>>140356891
7-8 years is undeniably a long time.
>>140357024
Do you call children of 7 - 8 years of age old?
>>140355107
Thank you anon, I needed this.
>>140357024
I guess it's all relative. The 90's are the nostalgia period for me. 2008 feels like yesterday.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ocQ6PDiP014
don't do it
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dUDSedRJHf4
I cried to this when I was a teenager.
>>140356891
Toradora is older than Cross Game you know.
>>140357123
Welcome to being old. Now get married and have kids to watch years go by like weeks.
I also think part of it is that the anime we've been getting for the past 10 years is largely the same.
>>140355107
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Jn1aFr0GWww
>>140357205
News flash, that's not a new phenomenon. Maybe not to the same degree but thinking that anime hasn't been largely stagnant for decades is stupid. There are tons of shitty shows from the 80s and 90s that were trying to mimic series that were successful, they're equally as irrelevant as the countless modern battle shonens or harems that are forgotten after a season.
>>140357359
Nah, there was a broader audience and more experimental titles when anime was just finding its market potential.
Read basically any interview in the past 5 years from industry vets and the common theme is that they're selling the same product to the same people with no room for expansion.
>>140357350
Now this is nostalgic.

Damn, it has been too long
>>140357060
Well, "too old" at least.
Honestly this shit almost makes me cry from nostalgia.

This is also not a new phenomenon. Like, I can give you interviews from Anno in 1996 and Miyazaki in 1987 or 88 where they talk about basically the soulless commercial nature of contemporary anime and how it was all better back in their day. Or I can give you that "kawaii fad" usenet conversation from the mid-90s. I'm sure you've seen all this, so I'm not sure why I'm even bothering, but it really is bizarre to me how these same things can recur for years and years and people will refuse to acknowledge that and always insist that this time is different.

And funny enough, it featured Sugita and Tanak Rie when they weren't THAT popular.

The intro for NHK's ED is crazy good, gotta love that piano.
It's shame GNG's ED is so heavily outclassed by the OP to the point where it's forgettable.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=puIGQdTrbtQ
>>140361778
I thought the ed for gng was great, but you're right. In comparison I can't even remember the ed when i'm thinking of the op.
Too bad stupido deen fucked up weed though. Could have had another fun adventure. Though the op/ed were good.
Can't believe it came out 10 years ago.
