It started as a SoL comedy but now it's not funny anymore.

If you like the SoL aspect, keep going - the show never stops being about the characters, and it stays emotionally realistic no matter what new craziness pops up. And >>140183895 is right -- some of the funniest bits are yet to come. Give it a chance, and there's a good chance you'll be glad you did.
(And if you make it to the end, SamFlam is a show that really rewards a rewatch.)

Before it came out I had only seen a couple of promo image and I watched it because I wanted anime Power Rangers, so when it turned out to be SoLish stuff I thought of dropping it, but the first episode won me over. Never thought of dropping it after but before the Slicing Simian I felt the premise wouldn't be enough for two cour.
